Hey Wassia, thanks again for the warm invite—really excited to be here with you.
So, quick intro—I'm Dr. Tamer Alsayed. I’ve been in the finance world for just over two decades now, mostly across the Middle East, but with International and Global companies. My journey’s taken me through all kinds of setups—Big Four firms, family businesses, global organizations, even a couple of intense startup experiences.
I’m a CPA, FCMA, and CGMA, but to be honest, it’s the real-life lessons that taught me the most—dealing with M&A, leading turnarounds, managing risk in uncertain markets, and just figuring out how to build high-performing finance teams that actually drive the business forward.
A while back, I also wrote a book called The Art of Becoming a Strategic CFO—it’s really a reflection of everything I wish someone had told me earlier in my career.
What I’m most passionate about now is helping finance professionals move beyond just numbers towards strategy, leadership, and impact, that is why I am now an Advisory Members of the Association for Financial Professionals' (AFP) Middle East and Africa (MEA) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Council, and a Member of the MESANA Regional Engagement Group (REG) of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (Association).
